The Secret To Making Your Love Patient

If you’ve attended a few weddings, chances are you heard one or more references to I Corinthians 13 – the “love chapter” in the Bible. If you’re like most people, you probably started to tune out since you’ve heard it sooo many times. However, it contains one of the most simple, yet most profound statements ever: “Love is patient.” Take a moment to consider those three little words!

Patience can definitely be considered a virtue and probably one of the most challenging when faced with all that people and life can throw at you. Those folks who whine about everything, those annoying people at work or home, the insufferably weak or ignorant, the infuriating circumstances that seem to bedevil you… yep, patient with it ALL! Wow, that’s a tall order. Yet, regardless of what we may throw at God, He continues to be eternally patient with us and His love endures through it all. If He can be patient with us, should we maybe reexamine our level of patience with others?
