What Are YOU Grateful For Today?
It’s easy to get caught up in our daily lives and forget to be grateful. We get so wrapped up in our day-to-day “busy-ness,” we don’t take any time to reflect on our blessings.
Today, let’s talk about financial hangovers. “What is that?” Well, think about a regular hangover. I’m sure you’ve never experienced something like that, hah! But just think about someone you might know and how they’ve acted when hungover.
Their muscles are sore, stomach is sore, brain is just not functioning and it’s way too hard to create full sentences. Their only thought is, “Ugh, never again!” What if I told you 98% of Americans suffer from a financial hangover just like that?
Think about a time when you’ve bought a big-ticket item or splurged on holiday gifts, clothes or a new car. At first it feels great, until you get the bill! And then you feel sick to your stomach, dizzy and just think, “Oh my goodness, never again!”
Your financial hangover is that debt. It’s that knot in your stomach, that stress attached to all the money you owe. The overdue electricity bill, the mortgage on the house you never should’ve bought and the credit card bills you’re trying to ignore.
Look, you have been sold an idea of what wealth is supposed to look like. The media, car salesmen, marketers, real estate agents will tell you that wealth is defined by stuff. But that stuff comes at a huge price. Because the financial pressure to keep up the “appearance of wealth” is stressful. And that price is not worth it!
Let me ask you, what is your top priority? The proof of your priorities lies in the fruit of your life. If you are reaping the fruit of stress, debt, bills, strained relationships, fights about money with your spouse: your priority is money. Your priority is spending money! Is all that stuff worth it to you?
Money shouldn’t come before your relationships, your career, your goals and especially your health. If you’re suffering from a financial hangover, it’s intervention time. This isn’t wealth, friend.

How do you define “success”? Go ahead, think about it for a minute. Is success working like a slave day-in, day-out? Is it skipping meals and losing sleeping? Is it neglecting […]
In the Bible you can see multiple examples of people who had amazing vision and fulfilled the Lord’s destiny. You also can find examples who had no vision, or completely self-centered visions, and how it destroyed their lives.
