Are You Throwing Cash In The Trash?
Imagine putting hundreds of dollars every month back into your budget. What could you do with that kind of extra money?
Today’s message is short and simple, but very important… and exciting! In fact, I’m excited about ALL of the messages for this week.
You may not know this is absolutely one of my favorite times of the year, because we have an entire day dedicated to giving thanks and being grateful for the many blessings in our lives! How awesome is that?! Plus, we get amazing family time, food and fun! I’m so excited to share this special time with you, my friend!
You see, sometimes it’s too easy to get caught up in our daily lives and forget to be grateful. Our society stays so busy running back and forth from one thing to another: taking kids to their various activities, keeping up with our social calendars and working hard on the job. We get so wrapped up in our day-to-day “busy-ness,” we don’t set aside any time to reflect on our blessings.
Think about it! When was the last time you sat down and really thought about what you’re thankful for? When was the last time your family went around the dinner table to say three things each person was grateful for?
I know there are times when things are hard, and you don’t necessarily feel grateful. Everyone experiences tough times – that’s just part of life! But that’s why you need to make gratitude part of your daily life!
Because sometimes, you have to FIND things to be grateful for! The air you breathe, the clean water you get to drink, the food in your kitchen, the warm home you live in, the friends and family surrounding you, the opportunities you have in front of you, your business or career, the fact you’re able to learn new skills and strategies to advance in every area of your life. Honestly, you do have so many things to be grateful for!
Gratitude is good for you! In fact, studies show when you deliberately cultivate gratitude, it increases your overall happiness, energy level, optimism and empathy. Bottom line – it makes you FEEL good! And come on, everyone wants to feel good!
For years I have encouraged my clients worldwide to do a simple exercise, and you’d be shocked by some of the results they report, just from following these easy instructions. And I’m giving it to you as a homework assignment this week, so be sure to complete it! (I’ll be checking!)
Just leave me a comment below with at least 5 things you are grateful for! It will only take a couple of minutes, but it will have a huge impact on your entire life!
I encourage my clients to do this every single day, in a “gratitude journal.” Each morning when you wake up, simply write 5 things you are grateful for that day. Before you go to sleep that night, do the same thing!
You’re probably thinking, “Okay, Dani, so what’s the big deal?”
Here’s why this is a big deal: what you focus on is what you get MORE of. Which means, you can focus on the hard times, the things that aren’t going your way and the busy-ness of your life… or you can focus on the abundant blessings in your life! It really is that simple. When you choose to focus on the blessings, you will begin to see many more blessings. It’s so amazing how that works!
So, don’t forget to do your homework and leave your “gratitude list” in the comments! I can’t wait to see what you have to say!
And remember to join me today for The Dani Johnson Show, when we focus on success tips and strategies that can actually multiply the things you have to be grateful for! You can tune in on your TV and radio and please remember you can always stream today’s show right here on our website.
In great faith,

“I was going to have to do something I REALLY didn’t want to do. This was the answer to my problem, but I sure didn’t LIKE it.” Sometimes, whether you like or not, solutions ARE available to change your situation…if you’re willing to accept them!
Whether you already have goals and plans for the New Year or not, God has something to say about the next year of your life.
