The Thing No One Told You Would Make You More Money
We’ve heard it our whole lives. Eat healthy food and get regular exercise. We’ve all heard it, but do we apply it? For 75% of men and 60% of women […]
Have you ever wondered if God wants you to be rich? Maybe you think that’s a crazy question. But, a huge number of people out there just “accept their lot in life.” They think, “This is the income my family lived on and how I grew up, this is how it will be for the rest of my life. That’s just the way it is.”
Now, put that into the perspective of a believer. A LOT of people believe it’s “God’s will” for them to have a certain income – or lack thereof. A large percentage also think earning a high income is the direct result of greed.
Let’s talk about that for a minute. It’s possible you either have one of those mindsets… or maybe you never gave it much thought before now. People have such skewed ideas about money and wealth. It always amazes me how people just automatically assume wealthy people are greedy people. It’s really sad, because one of the biggest secrets to our financial success, is actually completely opposite of what most people assume.
I want to show you a different side of wealth that completely changed the way I think about money. It is actually what gets me out of bed every morning, the reason I even work… and it’s not what you think!
See, money is just that – money. It’s not happiness, not love, not safety, not security, not a friend. It IS, however, a tool – a very powerful tool. It can control where you live, what you eat and even, sometimes, who you hang out with. You can also use it to buy more food and nicer clothes and bigger houses.
But, why? What is it all for? What does it all mean? How long will that last? How long will you be satisfied with what you’ve got now?
Probably not for long. In fact, if that’s the way you choose to spend your money, there’s a good chance you will end up in debt – and miserable. How do I know? Because I’ve been there!
I told you I was going to share one of my biggest wealth tips today. It’s very simple, and it’s something I learned after being set free from the greed that plagued me. You see, greed does NOT come from money, it comes from a mindset. You could be dirt poor and still greedy for power, affection, stuff, attention or a big wad of other things.
When it comes to money, you have to see it as a tool and then discover what purpose that tool has for YOU. The purpose I put to my money is NOT for more stuff, but to impact other people. And here’s what I found: When you have a vision for your money and a purpose for making money, you will make MORE of it. When you have no vision or purpose for your money, you will see it disappear.
My family and company take care of thousands of orphans every month, as well as widows, the sick, the poor, and those in the sex trade, all over the world. THAT is why I do, what I do. Not because I just love doing business training and consulting, or any of the other businesses we have. I work and make money, so I can take care of more orphans.
When you put purpose to money, you will be more productive and make more money. Why? Because you have a reason for going to work every day. You have a reason for working with diligence and excellence. You have a reason for producing results and increasing your value in the marketplace.
The work you do, whether it’s pushing papers, crunching numbers, teaching, making phone calls or doing construction, is no longer just about the work. It’s about the purpose.
When you have money, you can use it to impact others, and for years we have used our wealth for that very purpose. Hans and I know this is the real reason for our wealth. And you can do the same. You can contribute to communities you care about. You can build wealth that will impact future generations.
When your motivation is not just to make money, but to also truly serve, you will see incredible multiplication – with people, time and money. When you WORK and put PURPOSE to money: That’s when you will see yourself getting an amazing job, your bosses giving you promotions, and your business taking off. That’s when you will see your investments double and triple, your houses sell unexpectedly, and your bank accounts growing!
I don’t know about your God, but my God wants you to be successful. He doesn’t want you to be stuck in a rut or to settle for a mediocre life. Tell me your purpose for money and work in the comments below, and don’t forget to share this message with your friends!

Last week on my Facebook page I asked you a question: “What’s holding you back from success?” The top answer was fear!
What you focus on you will get good at. Adjust priorities, take back control of your time and live by design.
