“Trim The Fat”…From Your Budget
I know “budget” may seem like a dirty word. But if you stick to it, trim the fat and exercise self-control, you WILL reap the benefits!
How do you prepare for success? Is there anything you do every day, to help you achieve great things?
Our team has something special we do every single day… without fail. No matter what day it is, how busy everyone is, or how many people are in the office that day, we make sure we do this. It’s something I strongly suggest you might consider doing, as well.
Every morning at 9 AM, our entire team drops everything and comes together for prayer.
We celebrate everything that happened the day before – success stories we heard from our amazing clients, lives that were changed and exciting things happening internally, here at DaniJohnson.com.
We lift up the needs of our clients, team members, family or friends. We ask our Father in heaven to bless you, and each of our clients, to lay His hands on your family, your business/career, your finances and every other area of your life. We really want to see you succeed and we know the Father wants this for you, as well.
We pray for the orphans, widows, sick and poor, we have the privilege to help care for and support all over the world. We pray for protection, healing and all of their needs to be met.
We pray for our team to have wisdom, knowledge and understanding, as we go about our work that day. We pray our conversations will be fruitful, and our efforts will be greatly multiplied. We ask God to help us focus, and to be even more diligent and excellent in everything we do. We ask Him to bless everything our hands touch, whether we are working on the website, interacting with clients, crunching numbers or doing administrative tasks.
We submit our plans, our goals, our agendas and our desires to God. We commit everything we do, and everything we plan, to Him. We do this because Proverbs 16:3 tells us to commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established.
And then, we get back to work! It’s as simple as that. It doesn’t take a long time – only 5-10 minutes – but it sets the tone for the rest of our day. It reminds each team member of the priorities and the goals of our company. It brings unity to the team, in a way nothing else can.
I highly recommend doing this! I understand I am extremely blessed to work in a company where everyone has similar beliefs. And, before you say something like this just isn’t possible where you work, I want you to think about it for a minute.
You could do this alone. Before you start your workday, just take a few minutes and submit your day to God.
Or, you can find someone in your workplace, who might want to do this with you! Grab as many people as you can, and simply say, “Hey, I’m going to take a few minutes each morning to pray for our clients, our team members and our company, and to submit our plans and goals to God. I really believe He is going to bless our company and help us to reach even greater success, when we commit our work to Him. Would you be willing to spend 5 minutes doing this each morning at 9:00?” (Or at whatever time your workday begins!)
Truthfully, when you submit yourself, your plans, your goals and your work to God, and you work with excellence and diligence, you will see results. This could be the one thing to elevate your team to greater heights!
This is how the DaniJohnson.com team prepares for success every morning, and I invite you to help your team do the same! I can’t wait to hear how you implement this in your company, with your team members, or even with your family… just let me know in the comments section below!

So many people show absolutely NO gratitude…no “Thank you!”…no heartfelt “Wow, you did a really good job!” No appreciation. And without appreciation coming from our hearts and minds, we suffer negative effects!
When you KNOW you are MORE than your past…MORE than your circumstances…MORE than your failures…MORE than the limitations you put on yourself, you begin to live your life as though you ARE more!
