Imagine something with me right now: You’re on a busy street corner in a big city. Traffic is thick – cars, trucks, taxis and buses honking their horns. You hear babies crying and children begging their parents for toys they see in a store window. Car alarms and emergency sirens add to the racket. A teenager yells to his friend across the street. People rush everywhere, bumping into each other. The city hustle and bustle creates an overwhelming buzz of noise, surrounding you on every side. It’s all noise.
Did you feel your stress, anxiety and pressure levels rising just now… simply imagining it all? Now think about the reality of all that noise in your life!
Now, think about the kind of “noise” going on in your life every day. What is the noise you hear in your mind, in your home, in your job? What are the worries and cares competing for your attention every moment, of the every single day and night?
Do What You Want… NOW!
Let’s face it – a thousand things pull you in different directions every day, between work, school, friends, family and fun. But what if there were a simple way to get more done in less time, so you have more time for the things you
really want to do?
Now there IS!
Have you ever noticed in the midst of that “noise” in your life, it can be hard to keep moving forward? When you have so many things begging for your time and energy, there is no peace, no stillness. It’s all about this very minute… hurry… fast… react… get it done… NOW! You’ve become so used to the traffic in your mind, you’re literally functioning on autopilot.
Your kids talk to you, but you can’t hear them. Your boss gives you directions, but you can’t comprehend. Your friends confide in you, but their words go in one ear and out the other.
The noise creates confusion and chaos. Your mind constantly says, “Go, go, now, NOW!” But where? You are no longer in control of your thoughts and actions – the traffic is in control. You no longer have the ability to make conscious decisions; you can only react with your subconscious.
Isn’t it time to reclaim control? After all, this is YOUR life! This is your one shot, your all-or-nothing. Is it everything you want it to be? Are you designing the life you want to live? Or when you take a good look your life, do you wonder how on earth you ended up where you are?
My friend, I don’t want you to wake up one morning 5, 10, 20 years from now and say, “How did I get here? When did things go wrong? Why did my life turn out this way?” But that’s exactly what will happen if you do not stop the traffic, remove the noise and begin to design your life.
When was the last time your mind was still? When is the last time you felt peace? When is the last time you stole a moment away from the busy-ness of life to just be still?
I know so many things beg for your attention right this very moment. And, yes, many of them probably are important. But it’s vital to quiet your mind and really focus on the most important thing in that moment. Make decisions based on that… not on the traffic in your mind!
When you have a clear, calm mind, you will find it easier to make decisions that will set you up for your vision of success in your life. You will eliminate stress, and experience peace instead. You will not be easily led astray, because you will know exactly where you’re going. A clear and calm mind means a clear and calm focus, and that will lead you to success.
This is such a simple thing, but can make all the difference. Just give it a shot today. Throughout the day, just stop and take a deep breath. Eliminate the noise, quiet your mind and focus on what is most important in that very moment.
I can’t wait to see you reach your full potential and truly believe you can and you will… IF you learn to eliminate the noise and make decisions that will lead you to success.
