Everyday Appreciation For Mothers!
Showing love, appreciation and honoring your mother is certainly a big deal! But it doesn’t have to happen just one day a year. In fact, if it only happens one day a year, you need to fix that… NOW.
I have a short, but powerfully encouraging message, for you today. I’m so thrilled to share it with you, because it will truly impact every area of your life.
How many times have you said the words, “I can’t” or “I don’t know how” or “It’s too hard”? More than you can count, right?
My husband and I used a strategy, when our kids were young, that actually works great with adults, too. When one of our kids would say, “I can’t” I didn’t debate with them and instead would say, “Yes, you can. Get up there and do it. Listen, let me teach you something. Repeat this after me: Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Even at such a young and tender age, the voices of mediocrity and a victim mentality tried to control their little tongues. That’s why, even when the kids were so young they could barely speak, the first scripture each of them learned and memorized was this one.
Why? Because the Word of God is far more powerful than my word – or anyone else’s – and it will never return void! God’s Word accomplishes its intended purpose.
So, when someone would say, “I can’t do it!” immediately I responded: “What is Philippians 4:13?” They would answer, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!” I said, “That’s right! Now, go and do what you didn’t think you could!” BOOM! They were off and running!
Now I have grown children who believe all things are possible. These awesome, amazing, talented kids are risk-takers with huge faith, because they have believed anything is possible with HIM. They have done things they thought were impossible… all with His help!
You’re probably thinking, “Well Dani, sounds great for YOUR family, but I just wasn’t raised like that.” Guess what… that’s okay!
I want you to stop and think about something for a minute. Imagine what your life would look like if you believed you could actually do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you. Imagine what your business or career would be like if you believed nothing were impossible. What would your relationships be like? Your family? Your bank account? What goals would you accomplish if you truly believed you could do ALL things through Him?
The most beautiful thing, it doesn’t say, “I can do all things in my own strength!” It says, “THROUGH CHRIST who strengthens me!” That means you don’t have to depend on your own strength or knowledge or abilities. You don’t have to do it all on your own!
If you knew you could do all things through His strength, what would you do? Make a list right now. I know you KNOW this is possible, but do you BELIEVE it’s possible? If you truly believed nothing were impossible through Him, what would be on your to-do list? (Share your list with me below! I want to know what you wrote down!)
As I said, this strategy helped to shape our kids’ faith when they were young, and it also can be applied in your life today! It will impact every area of your life. And I can’t wait to hear the stories of everything you do and accomplish, now that you understand and believe you CAN do ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens you!
Now, GO and DO what you thought you couldn’t do!

You have to POSITION yourself for opportunity. If Cinderella had never gone to the ball, would Prince Charming have ever scoured the country looking for her? Um…NO! But, YOU don’t need a fairy godmother!
Are you ready to stop caring about what the Jones’ have and do?
