Today I want to hand you a secret weapon that will completely set you apart from the masses. It could help you land your dream job. It will help you get promoted. It will help you build a bridge with your boss, clients, prospects, friends, and family. You’re going to learn how to turn a simple act of gratitude into profits. It’s so easy, and it’s something you can do immediately.
"Thank you" are two very simple, very common, and very powerful words. You probably say them to someone every day, but if you’re like most people, there are a few times when you should express your gratitude, but you’ve totally overlooked those opportunities.
One powerful tool you should be using consistently, whether you are an entrepreneur or an employee, is thank you cards. Most people don’t understand why this is so important, so they don’t take advantage of it.
How to outsell, out-market, outperform, and out-earn
As an employee or business owner, you’re probably constantly looking for ways to get ahead. So is everyone else. So what sets you apart from them? Click here to find out!
When you take the time to write a hand-written thank you note, it shows the person that you appreciate them, and it makes them feel special and important. It strengthens relationships, and it shows that you are interested in more than just getting a sale or using the person. A culture of honor and gratitude is very valuable, and it encourages the concept of ‘relationship first, business follows’.
I want you to think about the last time you sent a thank you card to your clients. When was the last time you sent a card to your boss, thanking them for taking a chance on you by giving you the opportunity and privilege of working there? Most employees have never done that!
It doesn’t matter if you have 2 clients or 2,000 clients. You should be sending them thank you notes. Your clients have a choice of who they will work with, and they chose you. Let them know you appreciate them. (Obviously you will need some help if you have a lot of clients.)
Whether you are the CEO, or you were hired yesterday, you should be writing thank you cards. Let your employees and team members know that you appreciate their dedication to the team. (This goes for job interviews too! Any time you go for a job interview, you should always send a thank you card to the interviewer.)
Cards are not the only way to say thank you! A verbal "thank you" is great in some situations. This should be used daily, in fact. Another way to show your appreciation is through public recognition. There are other benefits of this, outside of the benefits of showing your appreciation.
Be specific. Do not just say ‘You’re doing a great job.’ Say, ‘You’re doing a great job on the such-and-such project. I really appreciate your hard work and effort. Thank you for being so committed and really giving it your all.’
Always be sincere. Genuine gratitude makes people feel honored. Fake or insincere gratitude makes people feel manipulated.
What do you think would happen to your business if you started genuinely thanking your clients for their business? Can you see how using this very simple strategy can completely set you apart from your competition? This one little thing will help your business grow. It will help you get more clients. It will help you get promoted in your job. It will cause your employees to continue doing a good job.
So who do you need to send a thank you card to today? Who needs to know how much you appreciate them today? Go ahead and take 5 minutes to write a note and give it to them today! It’s not hard and it doesn’t take much time at all. And I promise, it will pay off big time.
Oh, I almost forgot! Here’s one more great way to say "Thank you" to someone… Give them good, valuable content that will help them in their business, job, or personal life! It doesn’t take long, but it really shows that you care about them and that you want to see them succeed. So just forward this email to them, or share this link on Facebook or Twitter.
That’s it for me today. Have an awesome Tuesday, and I can’t wait to connect with you again tomorrow!
In great faith,
P.S. I’d hate for you to miss your chance to learn exactly how to set yourself apart from everyone else in the market today. So here’s another chance.
