Promote Diligence In Yourself To Get Yourself Promoted
Maybe turning that attitude of annoyance into an attitude of gratitude could be the first step toward finding career satisfaction and success.
Well, we’ve hit the midweek mark! I hope you’re still going strong this week and out there working on your goals.
If you are a person of influence (which you should be) one of your biggest skills should be your leadership! You may work for somebody else right now. Who knows, maybe you aren’t even the “lead” of your team, but that’s not what’s important in this discussion!
It doesn’t matter if you have the “leader” title! You can be a leader in your family. You can be a leader in your school classroom. And especially in your office you can be a leader, even if you aren’t the boss! It is not your position that determines your leadership, it is how you choose to lead in whatever position you are in.
You need to adopt an ownership mindset — that’s what determines a TRUE leader! Whatever your role is, it is your team, your family, your class or your company. You should take pride in the results! Make the success of your team the most important part of your job.
Part of creating this frame of mind involves becoming an advocate for your team. Every person in the company where you work has a different job description or a different role, but you are all working toward the same goals.
I just want to encourage you today to set the tone in your organization or team. Maybe you’ve made judgements about your coworkers or leaders, but you need to shift your focus. Instead of following the lead, become your own lead.
Start a new mindset in your company where your team edifies people and works with diligence. Remember, you don’t have control over how others act but you do have control over your own actions and mindset. People in your circle of influence, including those in charge of promotions, hiring and maybe bonuses WILL take note of it!
I know that having a job in today’s economy is a blessing of its own, but it usually means you have ended up somewhere you never thought you would be. I just want to remind you that whatever job that is, be a leader! Don’t be just another employee who acts ungrateful for their job. That is the fast-track to a dead-end career. But being an advocate for your team and company will always pay off.
If you put the success of the team as your main goal, you will also see great success in your personal and business relationships. Think of your friends and family as a team working toward a mutual goal!

What you’re about to read is going to change the way you think about money.
In the Bible, you can see multiple examples of people who had an amazing vision and fulfilled the Lord’s destiny, along with examples of a few people who had no vision, or completely self-centered visions, and how it destroyed their lives.
