Four BIG Ways Your Life Will Change When You Make Health A Priority
How do you define “success”? Go ahead, think about it for a minute. Is success working like a slave day-in, day-out? Is it skipping meals and losing sleeping? Is it neglecting […]
This past weekend there was a whole day dedicated to loving on your father. It reminded me there is another Father in our lives, here for us every day and in every way.
So I want to spend just a few minutes today talking with you about the heavenly Father you and I just happen to share. Because that Father has such amazing plans for your life!
Think about this… have you ever wanted something so bad and had your mind set on how to get it? And then it never happens? “I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.” (John 5:30).
The truth is, when you are very persistent, deliberate and focused on a certain outcome, you blind yourself to the true will of the Father. Are you ever like that? It’s like sticking your head in the ground and ignoring His will, while God just sits and waits, allowing us to eat our words and deal with the consequences of our stubbornness.
In my own life, I’ve been completely guilty of pressing for my own will. When I was thinking about it over the past few days it hit me that sometimes I’m afraid to ask for His will because I think that what He wants for me is not what I want, and is certainly lesser or smaller than what I want. Which is SO NOT TRUE!
Further into the Book of John you can see Jesus say, “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.” (John 6:38). Jesus was the ultimate example and now it is our turn to enact the Father’s will in our lives. Not our stubborn, pigheaded will that eventually dead ends somewhere.
Today I just want to encourage you to seek your heavenly Father’s will. Not just ONE day a year – but you should be checking EVERY day! Ask yourself honestly, “Is this my will? Or is this God’s will?” You might be surprised at how deep in the sand your head is buried.
God the Father has something so much bigger in store for you, just as He did for His own son. It was painful, but the reward was also that much greater!
Are you pursuing your Father’s will for your life? Tell me about it in the comments below or even share a time your stubbornness lead to consequences! I have totally been there, too. While you are there, remember to Like and Share today’s message with your friends and family

The deeper the roots, the bigger and better the fruit. If you have no roots, you will NEVER bear fruit. Imagine what would happen if you went “all in” for 5 solid years?!
