Give Mom The Best Mother’s Day Ever
Give her something that tells her how much she means to you, and how grateful you are to have her in your life. Give her something that will make her feel special and important.
Whether it’s chicken soup, hot water with lemon, special oils or even a day at the spa, everyone has their own unique home remedies when they get sick. But would you believe one guaranteed cure-all exists for both body and soul, for whatever may be afflicting you?
You and I both know sometimes bad things just happen! But other times, we put ourselves in a position that puts our health at risk. The stress or strain you put on your body puts you in a bad place! Mind you, I’m not a person who weighs my food or anything, but I do believe the need to take care of yourself has never been more important! Our society is filled with psychological, spiritual and gluttony-spurred illnesses, whether from poor diet, sin, lack of sleep or reaping bad fruit in your life.
“Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.” (Proverbs 3:7-8 ) The Bible tells us when you turn from Him, you also turn from God’s protection. That invites sickness into your life, your health and your relationships!
Have you been opening the door to sickness by sinning, not taking care of your body, subjecting yourself to stress or something else?
There are four types of healing in the Bible. There are all types of medicines and home remedies, and of course, the healing touch used to work miracles. But there is one other that goes mostly unnoticed. “There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” (Proverbs 12:18)
If you speak rashly or use harsh words toward others, you are inviting sickness into your relationships and not only that, but you will reap the fruit of those rash words, which is usually rotten! If you have trouble controlling your harsh words, you might want to print out this reminder! A wise tongue brings healing. “Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” (Proverbs 16:24)
The power of life and death is in the tongue, my friend. And it has the power to invite sickness or to evoke healing powers in your life. You can choose to walk by condemnation, speaking worry, death and stress into your sickness. Or you can choose to walk by faith and speak life into others, into your health. How are you going to move forward? Let me know in your comments below and remember to share today’s prescription for better health!
