Everyday Appreciation For Mothers!
Showing love, appreciation and honoring your mother is certainly a big deal! But it doesn’t have to happen just one day a year. In fact, if it only happens one day a year, you need to fix that… NOW.
No matter where you might live in America, when you go out in public you’ve just come to expect rowdy or misbehaving children… right? And that is really unfortunate! Imagine a world where kids did not throw tantrums just because they don’t get what they wanted. What if they were very respectful – starting from a very young age?
When I’m out and I see these kids who are wild and out-of-control, I automatically mentally fast-forward and say to myself, “Man, if you let that 2-year-old be rude and obnoxious and manipulative now, then they’re sure going to be that as an adult. That is just a recipe for disaster!”
How you train up a child when they are young really affects how they turn out as an adult. They have a greater chance of succeeding in life, if they are groomed for success from an early age. So do yourself a favor: set standards for your conduct and your family’s conduct. Decide to be a family who doesn’t sound like a bunch of idiots. You see, it’s just so important to teach your family good people skills.
I came from a family where no one had any people skills. It was nothing but hostility and screaming and foul language. But I am living proof, you can learn good, honorable people skills guaranteed to pay off for a lifetime.
A lot of people brush this all off, saying “Kids will be kids.” And, sometimes they will! However, the truth is, kids can be taught to be pleasant, honorable, respectful human beings. But when you expect (or accept) your kids being brats, let them get away with this type of behavior, you teach them this is the norm. YOU get to decide the norm!
If your parenting plan has been to give birth and hope for the best, it might be time to actually sit down and plan how you want to raise your children. You have the choice to raise your children with all the tools required to succeed in life or to just hope they turn out alright.

What does depression look like for you? You can’t concentrate at work, you’re exhausted, feeling hopeless, empty or alone? A lot of people suffer from depression, but it is rarely acknowledged or treated.
