Is Your Love Patient?
The very first thing description of love in the Bible is “patient”… what does that mean?
Do you have a decision to make today? Do you need wisdom? Are you unsure of your next step? Do you have a goal you’re just not sure how you’re going to achieve? Are you at a fork in the road? Do you need help with a task assigned to you?
If so, I have a message to relieve some stress and pressure for you today, as well as equip you to face all of life’s decisions and challenges that may come your way. This strategy is so simple, you’re going to say, “Dani, are you kidding me?!” But it never even occurs to most people. So I’m really excited to arm you with this weapon. It’s going to change the way you think, act, walk, talk, believe.
There’s a young woman in our office who helps me with the content for our show, and she used to ask me questions all the time. She would say, “Dani, what do you want to do about this? How should I do that? What do you want me to do here? When should I schedule that? Who, what, when, where, why, how???”
While first learning how to do her job, I would help her out and talk through the answers together. But then she became totally dependent on me. She came to me with every little question she had and wait for me to give her answers before she could even move on to the next task.
So finally one day, she came to me with a question and my response was, “Ask God!” She looked at me with a blank expression. I told her, “That’s what I do! And guess what? YOU know the same Holy Spirit I do, and He’s going to give you the same answer He would give me! So ask Him!”
She wasn’t thrilled with my answer. She did not believe God would even hear her, much less answer her! But every time she came to me with a question, my answer was the same: “Ask God.”
Soon, this young woman came back to me and she said, “Dani, you won’t believe this! I started asking God, and guess what! He answers me! I ask Him what to write and when to schedule interviews and how to do things, and He tells me!”
This story isn’t for your entertainment today… it’s because this simple little strategy – Asking God – is the key to so many things!
No matter what you’re facing today – big or small – I encourage you to ask God! The truth is, He has ALL the answers! And His answers are better than any answer you could ever come up with on your own, anyway. He wants to bless and prosper you! He wants you to succeed, and He has given you tools and strategies to help you succeed. In fact, this is one of the key strategies He has given you and me.
And even if you don’t believe God will answer you… even if you don’t think you can hear Him speaking to you… even if you don’t think this will work… go ahead anyway and ask God today!
As you begin to ask more, you will begin to hear Him more. This is going to massively build your faith! You are going to start depending on God instead of relying on others. You’ll learn to trust God, even in the hard times; even when you’re under pressure; even when you don’t think He will answer you.
I would even encourage you to make some sort of reminder for yourself and post it where you will see it every day. Grab a piece of paper or a sticky note, and write ASK GOD in big, bold letters. Put it on your bathroom mirror, by the kitchen sink, in your car, at your desk, or even set it as the background on your phone or computer. And don’t keep this strategy to yourself, share via email, or post this link on Facebook and Twitter. Let me know how this works for you in the comments below!
Whatever decisions, assignments, goals or plans are in front of you today, ask God for the answer. Ask Him for your next step. Ask Him for help. Ask Him for wisdom. He has the answers! And, watch your Inbox next Wednesday morning, because you’re going to learn how to hear God and discern His voice.

If you work with people, there’s a good chance you have experienced both good AND bad communication. Once you learn the secrets, the benefits of great communication are endless…and it all begins right here!
You have to POSITION yourself for opportunity. If Cinderella had never gone to the ball, would Prince Charming have ever scoured the country looking for her? Um…NO! But, YOU don’t need a fairy godmother!
